We hope you’re well.

We wanted to start off by saying a massive ‘thank you’ to yourself, Isabelle and the whole team at Coombe Lodge. We fell in love with the venue just over a year ago and we felt right at home. We were looked after by Isabelle for the majority of our wedding planning journey and she was so attentive to our needs. The wedding planning process was explained clearly to us from the start and she was very responsive to our endless list of questions.

The wedding day eventually came and it exceeded our expectations. We had opted for an intimate wedding and the venue fitted this perfectly - it felt so cosy with the fires lit and candles burning. The Coombe Lodge team decorated the venue exactly as we had described and imagined it, although it looked even better than we had imagined. All of the staff were so friendly, relaxed and attentive to us and the guests during the day. We had endless compliments about the food and drink that was supplied. The chefs did a fantastic job and the beef was a firm favourite!

Lastly and importantly, thank you Paige for looking after us during the last few weeks leading up to the wedding. The day ran seamlessly and yourself and Isabelle are a credit to the team.

You really captured the essence of what we wanted & it couldn’t have gone smoother! Every minute of the day was so easy & you really helped make it feel so calm & fun, not a single worry thought came through our minds of what’s next, only pure joy & happiness the whole day!

Hi Paige,

We wanted to get in touch to say a massive thank you for everything you did to make our wedding day so incredible! From start to finish, the whole day was amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate.

What really stood out to us was how awesome your team was—every detail was handled perfectly, and we truly felt taken care of throughout the whole day. There were so many little touches that just made it so amazing - from you guys tidying the bridal suite so it was nice to come back to at the end of the night, to liaising with Greg so he was clued up to be our MC. The food was also wonderful, many compliments to the chefs!

We have no regrets that we chose Coombe Lodge - we knew it was the one from our first viewing. The building is immaculately maintained and decorated and the grounds too, which made for such amazing photos. Speaking of which, please find attached some of our favourite photos, taken by our very talented photographer Rob Tarren, showcasing Coombe Lodge’s best bits. If you fancied sharing any of the photos, if you wouldn't mind crediting Rob, that would be great.

Hi Paige,

We are reaching out to say a huge thank you to you and the Coombe Lodge Team! We had such an amazing day celebrating with our friends and family. The venue is spectacular, and the staff were incredible, we really couldn’t be happier with how the day turned out. We are extremely grateful to you and the team for ensuring that we were ok throughout the day, and making sure things ran seamlessly. A big thank you specifically to you Paige, you ensured both Chris and I were where we needed to be at the right times and helped guide us and our guests throughout the day!

From the first meeting in February last year, the team filled us with confidence and made us feel like they had our best interest at heart; to make our day incredibly special! Whilst some family live close by, we chose to travel all the way from York to Coombe for our Wedding because of this. This continued throughout the planning process, answering many emails, and providing some really helpful advice.

You most definitely didn’t disappoint on the day, whilst the weather was a bit drizzly and we had our hearts set on an outdoor ceremony, luckily for us the venue is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside! Our guests had nothing but positive things to say on the venue, they loved the day and especially the food – the burgers were very popular!! We are so grateful to you, everything ran so smoothly and we truly felt you went above and beyond to deliver our dream wedding!

Charlotte and the amazing team at Coombe Lodge, where do we begin? We are so grateful for everything you have done for us to make our wedding day the most incredible and special day we could have wished for.

When we had our wedding meeting with Charlotte, we instantly clicked. Thanks to this instant bond, it made the countless emails and overall wedding planning so much easier, so much so, Lewis thanked you in his speech! You envisaged exactly what we were wanting from our decorations and wedding in general and you created the most beautiful day for us. We are so thankful and grateful of the amazing job that you and the team did throughout the day and you couldn’t have done anymore for us. From ensuring my dress was lay correctly to protect it from creases, to pushing our little girls pram to help get her to sleep to allow us to continue partying. No question or task was an issue for you and you put us both at ease from the very start.

Many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they’d ever been to which wouldn’t have been possible without all of your help, advice and passion for our big day.

Coombe lodge is the most stunning venue I have ever been to, the food was impeccable and the whole team were incredible.

Thank you so much once again from the bottom of our hearts for the most wonderful day, we will never ever forget it!

Good afternoon - We're just emailing to say thank you so much to Paige, Charlotte Thompson, Martha, Izzy & all the staff who did such a great job with everything on the day.

Thank you for all the help and for making our wedding a day of perfection, although we didn't get off to a great start after booking due to miscommunication & swapping a few planners, we're so grateful and happy we had our special day at Coombe Lodge and wish we could do it all again.

Thank you to all the waiters/waitresses & Chefs/Kitchen staff, absolutely smashed everything, the food was excellent and the serving was superb. We had so many compliments about how the food was and how quick the food came out, it was very well planned and you all did such an excellent job, I know we made it harder for you all by having different dishes for so many people but you all did a fantastic job. The sweet table was incredible and looked amazing, just how I pictured it.

I just wanted to take a moment to reach out and thank you for Sunday.

Working in the industry, I've seen the very best and worst of weddings, and I can honestly say (although I'm a bit biased) that you guys were one of the most incredible venues that I've ever come across and I'm so glad that we chose Coombe Lodge.

Liss and I both had an inkling as to how amazing you'd be, given testimonials from family before we booked, and given how organised and helpful you all were in the lead up to the big day, but Sunday was next level, in particular yourself. You made everything so easy, made us laugh, and were on every single detail.throughout.

I'll keep this short given I can barely type still (and I'm sure it's mad busy at your end), but words cannot do the service that you provided any justice. You're amazing.

I spoke with Mark a little bit about reaching out to you to see if you'd be interested in working with Golden Ticket Entertainment, the music agency that we run that Oompah is a part of, and when I'm back at it with worky bits, we'd love to chat more about collaborating together in the future (if you'll have us)!

Wow, what can I say! Thank you so much for making our dream wedding day a reality, from the moment we walked into Coombe lodge we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Fast forward 2 years and here we are! We recently had our wedding at Coombe Lodge Blagdon and we couldn’t be any happier. Charlotte was coordinating our wedding and she was just fantastic. Whatever we needed she was able to facilitate and nothing seemed like too much. Everything went so smoothly and on time. The lead up to the wedding Charlotte helped keep us sane, being able to communicate quickly and efficiently whenever we had any questions or concerns. She ensured that we had minimal things to worry about and think about on the day and even went as far as to ensure we also had something to eat/drink. We couldn’t be more thankful.

The team at Coombe Lodge were truly fantastic at helping organise and run our big day, especially Charlotte T who was our Wedding Planner there. Charlotte, was specifically great at comms and getting things sorted when I needed them and I am truly thankful for that as it removed a lot of stress from me. Though we must say the whole team made the day absolutely wonderful through ensuing everything ran smoothly running up to and on the big day.

One of our guests was a head chef for a high end hotel in Amsterdam that often hosts the Dutch royal family and they were impressed with how professional all the staff were. In particular how smooth, well organised, and polite the service was.

Additionally, every guest came up to us and said how wonderful the food was, because it really was.

Honestly the whole experience from booking our date, planning to the big day itself was made truly fabulous by the staff at Coombe Lodge. If you are considering booking your wedding here then we highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed.

When we first visited Coombe Lodge it absolutely stood out from other local event spaces and we instantly knew this was the place for us to get married (even if did mean compromising on our date due to your clearly deserved popularity).

The team were so helpful during the booking and planning process; answering our many questions, providing recommendations where needed, and helping us realise our unique request for an intimate ceremony followed by a bigger wedding breakfast.

The venue looked fantastic on the day and we couldn't fault the service provided. We're incredibly grateful that the team made sure everything happened to plan without us even having to think about it and we really appreciated the unexpected extras like returning to a tidy bridal suite with all traces of the morning's chaos removed!

The food tasted and looked absolutely incredible and we've received so many positive reviews from our guests. We'd thoroughly recommend staying in the beautiful rooms too. The opportunity to enjoy extra intimate drinks at the end of the night, and to share an amazing breakfast with our nearest and dearest the next day, were fantastic.

We'd highly recommend Coombe Lodge as a wedding venue.

Dear Martha & Charlotte, Where do we start...from the moment we stepped through the door on our first show around 2 years ago we knew Coombe Lodge was different from any other venue we'd looked around, but we didn't realise how special it really is until Sunday! A venue is only as good as the team running it, and you guys are just amazing - what a well-oiled machine!

Martha, thank you for answering the copious emails and making everything so simple and easy! You have a way of putting anyone at ease with your calmness!

Charlotte, thank you for making sure everything ran smoothly on our big day, and for placating Matt, aka Groomzilla, when he realised there was no red bull! Moving the ceremony outside last minute meant a huge amount, and it was all just prefect! Thank you also for making sure mum's friend John, on crutches,was okay during the day too.

Catering team, wow what can we say?! The chicken was the tenderest I've ever tasted and everyone commented on the quality! The pizzas in the evening, the sausage rolls and the breakfast were all second to none. Thank you!

Waiters and waitresses, what an attentive team you are. You made sure everyone was well fed and watered and were so professional! The young boy who worked the long shift and even served us breakfast (Seth I think?), what a wonderful young man you are! Polite, professional and always went the extra mile - thank you!

Cleaning team, you're like little fairies! The rooms were spotless, despite the tight turnaround from one wedding leaving to the next arriving! How do you guys do it?!

All our suppliers said how fabulous and professional Coombe Lodge was but even that doesn't do you all justice. Thank you to the whole team, behind the scenes too, and we can't wait to come back and visit one day!

Dear Izzy, Thank you so, SO much for running our wedding on Saturday. It was absolutely the most wonderful day and that was largely due to your excellent management of everything - both before the event and during the actual day. You took over from Tom seamlessly on the admin front and knew every detail. You were brilliant - always there to take our drinks (and return them!) at all the key moments, and a face of reassuring calm when we needed prompting to do something, or go somewhere!

You and the staff truly went above and beyond and all of our guests commented on both how beautiful the venue is and the exceptional quality of service and food you provided. Even our hard-to-impress family members were raving about you all! One of the many reasons we chose CL as a wedding venue was the level of professionalism and ease at which you help couples on the day – you fully lived up to this in every way.

A special thank you for dropping off my cousins to their accommodation, giving my Gran a ‘proper’ cup of tea, and posting my credit card!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your help making our wedding the best day ever! Especially thanks to Tom for making sure everything ran so smoothly and for keeping calm when my grandad fainted, you were so patient and really helped us get the evening going again (we really appreciated it)!

The venue looked amazing (and we were super lucky with the weather) so thank you so much for everything.

Hi Martha - We hope your well. We wanted to get in touch to thank everyone at Coombe Lodge for an unforgettable day on Thursday. We were so moved by the way the team dressed the venue with all of our personal touches and guests were absolutely blown away by the venue, setting, food, the rooms and standard of service. It was a first-class wedding with a truly Italian vibe which exceeded all of our expectations.

We really didn't expect the breakfast setting that we were greeted to the next morning! It was like an extension of our wedding breakfast and even the photograph of Jo's mum was placed on the top table amongst the flowers. It meant so much to Jo that the team had done that.

We are sorry that we don't remember names by the lady who was on shift that night and in the morning (tall, dark hair) was exceptional and couldn't do enough for us and our guests. We appreciate we were up into the early hours upstairs just reliving the day and she went above and beyond for us.

Once again, thank you all for a truly magical day. Coombe Lodge has a special place in our hearts and we would love to re-visit (out of season of course) if we are able to. Thanks so much, Jo & Sean

Dear Martha and all the team at Coombe Lodge - We just wanted to say thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts, for the best day of our lives!

Throughout this whole process everyone has been incredible. Martha and Tom especially, you both have been a total joy and so unbelievably helpful and understanding. I'm so pleased we got there in the end - and the day was more than perfect! Martha - you were amazing on the day and it ran like clockwork - it was so special to have you there on the day after first meeting you 4 years ago! Also to mention the food - incredible!

Even the weather was on our side and we got to have our gorgeous outdoor ceremony, and a surprise from a double rainbow which has made some incredible shots! The photo attached was taken by the best man - I can't wait to see the professional ones! We will send some across when we get them :)

Thank You so much again, can't wait to visit for our 1 year anniversary!
